Propecia

Propecia (finasteride) is mainly used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (an enlarged prostate), but can be prescribed by your health care provider for a number of other conditions. Another popular use is to treat male pattern hair loss. Itching, rash, breast pain, nipple discharge, swelling of the lips and face, hives, lumps in the breast are some of the rare but quite serious side effects you health care provider needs to be informed of. Depending on which exactly of these serious side effects you have, you may be required to stop the treatment, your dose will be adjusted or some tests will need to be done to establish the effectiveness of using Propecia in your case. Up to three months of time may be required for some progress to be seen, however, you should try taking Propecia for at least a year – if after this period there is no visible improvement ask your doctor for an alternative, as you probably won’t benefit from taking Propecia.
